Passion and fascination are the two irresistible forces which drive the young designer Damian Hirschberg's work. His fascination for the most expressive materials — think cashmere, silk and finest leather — as well as his ability to work with all of these at the highest standard have become Damian Hirschberg's trademark. »Made in Germany« is very important to him as it stands for the accuracy in his processing and his knowledge of the trade.

»Every step of the work process takes place in Germany. Only like that I can ensure that I accompanied the development of every one-of-a-kind piece. That's how every piece gets its own story and soul, which is very important to me.«

The Sri Lanka born designer grew up in Freiburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg and his parents soon discovered and nurtured his interest in the arts and design.

The young designer finds inspiration in his passion for music and art, together with personal and professional contact with artists that constantly influence his work. His style can be described as elegant, feminine and extravagant, and shows the picture of a self-confident, changeable and attractive woman. He accomplishes that through his elaborate designs and extravagant details, such as luxurious applications.

Damian Hirschberg creates no off-the-peg clothing. Every creation is strictly limited and a one-of-kind piece.

The key, part of his trade mark, represents the connection he had to his father, who would always encourage him in his dream of his own collection. »The key was a gift from my father — a tool to make way for new things and challenges and to realise my vision.« And now the vision becomes reality.
